My work is mostly about small moments and the people that get in the middle of it all. I constantly experiment with limited palettes, tones and textures and especially love the physical properties of paint - the brushes, the smell of turpentine, the touch of linen and the whole physical process."
Fresh Paint
The Copley Society of Art is hosting its 20th Fresh Paint exhibit this week. This is Copley's major fundraising event of the year which supports innovative exhibitions of emerging and established artists, lectures, scholarships, and outreach programs.
On Sunday, May 4th more than 90 Co|So artists painted scenes on location throughout the Boston area.
For the next week, the art will be displayed and silent bids taken at Co|So's gallery at 158 Newbury Street. On Saturday, May 10th between 6:30pm and 9:00pm, final bidding will take place during a gala party at the gallery.

"Kubiatowicz, who moved to Providence from Minnesota a couple of years ago, has a sharp eye for poses and gestures, as well as a breezy, light-filled painting style that at times recalls the great French Impressionist painter Edouard Manet.
